LIEN RESEARCH PROGRAMME ON GOOD GOVERNANCE
LRPGG acronym of Lien Research Programme on Good Governance is a joint initiative between the Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship and NCPA to build a credible and impactful research centre focusing on vital areas in Singapore, China, and ASEAN. Together with the existing Lien Research Programme on the Belt and Road Initiative, LRPGG will be upgraded to form the Lien Centre for Good Governance and Regional Collaboration in 2-3 years. In alignment with this vision, the LRPGG fund supports policy-oriented research programs at NCPA. These initiatives employ an interdisciplinary approach, drawing knowledge from social sciences, history, public administration, business, and politics. We firmly believe that the integration of these fields will enhance the practicality and applicability of our research, going beyond traditional boundaries.
MISSION

The objective of setting up the Lien Research Programme on Good Governance (LRPGG) is to enhance practicality and applicability of research by integrating public policy and public administration with social sciences, history, business, and politics. Our interdisciplinary approach aims to address complex social issues, such as public health and policy, aging and eldercare policies, strengthening social fabrics at the time of globalization, technology governance, AI and ethics, Fintech and policy regulation, economic recovery and sustainable development, and public sector innovation and talent management strategies in the post-pandemic era.
